Job Summary
Krunchbox is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer with 5+ years of Python experience to build scalable API services and data-intensive systems. The role focuses on designing robust cloud infrastructure, optimizing data pipelines, and implementing AI-enabled enhancements within a high-growth SaaS environment. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to modernize platform architecture and deliver high-performance solutions.

### Responsibilities
- Design and build scalable backend services using Python and FastAPI.
- Develop and maintain data ingestion and processing pipelines that power analytics across global brands.
- Build and maintain API services that drive the Krunchbox platform.
- Improve system performance, reliability, and scalability.
- Implement and maintain cloud infrastructure and DevOps pipelines.
- Collaborate with product, engineering, and data teams to deliver new capabilities.
- Participate in architecture and platform design decisions.
- Write clean, well-tested, maintainable code.
- Contribute to engineering best practices and documentation.
### Requirements & Nice-to-haves
- 5+ years of Python experience with a strong background in building API services.
- Proficiency with FastAPI or similar async frameworks and RESTful API design.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with analytics databases (ClickHouse, Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift) and data orchestration tools (Airflow, Dagster, Prefect) is highly desirable.
- Full-stack experience (React, TypeScript) is a plus.
- Prior experience in SaaS startups or high-growth tech companies.
- Comfort with AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Claude Code) to accelerate coding, debugging, and architecture exploration.
