Job Summary
Krunchbox is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer with expertise in Python and DevOps to architect and scale their next-generation data platform. The role focuses on building robust API services, data ingestion pipelines, and cloud infrastructure within a fast-growing SaaS environment. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI-driven insights and ensure high system performance.

Functions
- Design and build scalable backend services using Python and FastAPI.
- Develop and maintain data ingestion and processing pipelines that power analytics across global brands.
- Build and maintain API services that drive the Krunchbox platform.

- Implement and maintain cloud infrastructure and DevOps pipelines.
- Collaborate with product, engineering, and data teams to deliver new capabilities.
- Participate in architecture and platform design decisions.
- Write clean, well-tested, maintainable code.
- Contribute to engineering best practices and documentation.
Description
- 5+ years of Python experience and a strong background in building API services and data-intensive systems.
- Proficient with FastAPI or similar async frameworks, design RESTful APIs following best practices.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with scalable data pipelines, large datasets, and AI-enabled enhancements.
- Familiarity with analytics databases (ClickHouse, Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift) and data orchestration tools (Airflow, Dagster, Prefect) is highly desirable.
Desirable Skills
- Full-stack experience (React, TypeScript).
- Experience with analytics databases (ClickHouse, Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift).
- Data pipeline tooling (ETL/ELT).
- AI/ML infrastructure familiarity.
- Comfort with AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Claude Code).
